Fur and Feathers Veterinary Care informs you that we will have to change some prices for Office Visits, Telemedicine Consults, and Technician Appointments. Some of these increases will go into effect January 1, 2022. Between the increased workload and delays/complications caused by curbside care, these increases are needed for smooth operation of the hospital.
Feel free to call the hospital (607-238-1246) if you need an updated estimate for care, or would like to try to schedule before the increases take effect. Thank you for your patience and consideration.

Due to the rash of no-shows and/or late cancellations of scheduled anesthetic procedures, we regret to announce that we will be collecting a deposit for scheduled anesthesia procedures (like spays, neuters, dentals, etc.) when we sample and run the pre-anesthesia blood work the week prior to each procedure.
The deposit will be applied to the anesthetic procedure fees when completed the next week. If patients/clients do not come in as scheduled; the deposit will be forfeited. Rescheduling of a procedure must be completed by the close of business at least the day before - that means a staff member must speak with the client and discuss the reschedule or cancellation. Messages left overnight are not sufficient, nor are emails or other non-verbal methods.
If rescheduled and completed in 1-2 more weeks, the blood work will not need to be rerun and the deposit will be applied to the fees. If the delay is more than 2 weeks, the pre-anesthesia blood work must be sampled and run again within 3 weeks of the new date of procedure.
We offer money-saving discounts for our fur-families with multiple pets.
Starting in August, we will have to charge additional fees for unscheduled/walk-in exams and emergency exam/treatment procedures that disrupt the schedule for other clients and patients.
Unscheduled care will be $167 if current client and $177 if new client for treatments/medications/etc.; emergency care will be $221 if current client and $231 if new client plus treatments/medications/etc.
A deposit for work to be completed on walk-ins and emergencies will be processed.
